Among his desired virtues were temperance, resolution, frugality, industry, cleanliness, tranquility and moderation. What virtue (s) should college students develop that might assist them with their college careers?
2. No one can doubt that human technology has produced both marvelous and terrible inventions that are capable of improving lives or destroying them. Is humankind in better shape now at the beginning of the 21st Century with the knowledge and capabilities of technology? Discuss the contributions and/or casualties of a specific technological invention.
3. If you could invite a famous contemporary person to dinner and an evening of conversation, whom would you invite and why? Write an essay discussing the evening; you may want to include such things as the topics of conversation, the food, the invited guests, and other points of interest.
